Philly Cheesesteak

Savory Philly Cheesesteak

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 - 2 lbs ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 2 bell peppers (red or green)
  • 1 medium yellow onion 
  • 1 lb white mushrooms 
  • 8 slices provolone cheese 
  • Olive oil 
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Hoagie buns
  • Butter 
  • Garlic
Instructions:
  1. Cut the bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions into strips and pieces.
  2. Cut the steak into thin strips and pieces.
  3. Heat a large griddle and fry the veggies with oil until soft and browned. Remove veggies and set aside.
  4. Cook the steak strips with oil until brown and cooked through, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Return veggies to the griddle with the steak strips and mix.
  6. Top the steak and veggies with the provolone slices and let melt.
  7. Meanwhile, cut and toast the hoagie buns with butter and garlic.
  8. Top the hoagies with the steak and veggies and enjoy!
